Incredibly frustrating... *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* features some all-time great Spider-Man moments, but overall, it's a complete mess of a film. The pacing is wildly inconsistent, and the narrative is unnecessarily convoluted. The film is simply too big for its own good. It's too stuffed. That's not to say I didn't enjoy my experience with the film. Its flaws are just too overbearing to be ignored.

I'm very very sad

*Babylon* is a modern masterpiece. It's endlessly ambitious and batshit crazy from start to finish. The fact that this film even exists is a miracle. There are several applause-worthy moments throughout, and there's a strong case to be made that this is Damien Chazelle's greatest work. It's an absolute travesty that *Babylon* flopped both critically and financially. But I'm glad that, as more time passes, its reputation continues to grow.

What a charming dumpster fire!
