The Conjuring 2Malik9.9· May 16, 2024FollowThe second conjuring movie takes what the first movie did and expands it into its better potential, the conjuring 2 characters are the best element in the movie, as you watch it play you get more connected with the family and more concerned about the characters. As the movie flickers at the beginning between the family and the warrens it gives a clear and a good head start into the overlapping point between the two stories, the overlap being valak. Similarly to the first movie, The Conjuring 2 has no nudity and little to give of gore yet it still manages to perfect the horror factor solely on the build up, despite that the movie still suffers from alot of clichés, and the use of cheap jumpscares that have been overdone since the rise of possession horror, in addition to the clear huge influence of "The Exorcist" on the movie. However, the movie is still well done, we sympathise with the characters as the themes of the rich overlooking the poor's needs and the societal gap between different financial classes are explored and dived in heavily,in addition to themes of familial connections and love (Ed and Lorraine) I might be biased due to my history with this movie but I really enjoyed it and it's one of my favourites oat.CommentsSign in to react and join the conversation.Sign inGet the app
