super interesting, will probably love this one more with time, cannot wait to see malcolm x now. loved da mayor and john torturro (even though he was like super racist) but yeah great movie

holy great performance(s) batman!! yeah i don’t know if this was like what i thought it was gonna be or not, but as far as first Miloš Forman, wow i’m impressed. And just Jack Nicholson is incredible as always. I can’t imagine what seeing him on screen for the first time was like. Like seeing this now, even though it feels like he’s not doing anything crazy for him and he’s not reinventing the wheel, even today it feels special nonetheless. this was also way more similar to cool hand luke than i expected, however, cool hand luke could be better. that definitely needs a rewatch. great flick though.

i like this, but idk if i was tired or what, it just wasn’t my thing as much as i wanted it to be. it wasn’t really what i expected. kind of sad about it. love love loved the mute guy though he lowkey carried. wish this was more my thing.

django has not aged as well as i would’ve liked. (for me at least) it’s way messier than i remember and on rewatch it drags a lot more (which is to be expected, i also know it like the back of my hand for the most part) but it’s also always going to hold a special place in my heart. it lowkey introduced me to westerns. the performances are also genuinely classics. leo and samuel L jackson are so fire
