With such a heavy, complicated, but at the same time… simple plot, this left me with so much to ponder. And stirred up feelings I didn’t even know I had. The family tree and further metaphors placed upon it. When everyone just lets this thing happen. Giving into you worst thoughts of guilt and turning it into freedom. Disgusting but relatable. Like I think especially if you have someone in your family suffering from mental illness, someone on the spectrum, OR even an older family member who is losing memory, you can definitely feel the family dynamic of treating someone like a burden, and the difficultly of feeling that guilt and accepting it while creating space for your own life. Idk I’m going through a lot and I FELT IT.
