Battle Royale

The first time I saw this I was quite a bit younger. So, this time it really registered to me how young these kids are.  I love how this film exposes brutality of WW2 period japan without actually showing the war at all. It is also sad that this whole situation was because the adults and the brutal regime raised a generation that “failed” to conform to their needs and wants and without any introspection their solution was to punish and scapegoat kids once more. The amount of movies about child soldiers or children fighting for survival just goes to show that throughout history kids have been used as a weapon.  I need to read the book fr
