I think this is a monumental piece of work. I can’t even begin to imagine how Yang captured every facet of life’s complexities in all its beauty, sadness and happiness. Deeply nostalgic, while never being overly sentimental - Yang treads the line perfectly as he provides an honest window into life of the Jian family. This movie is soul food for the heart. A warm embrace that lingers after the credits roll.
