On this watch, I definitely found lots of small squabbles and critiques, but ultimately it’s hard to deny the sheer power of Nolan firing on all cylinders here.

Some thoughts in no particular order - this is the first time I’ve ever had the desire to give a 4.25 star rating- this feels like the least Nolan-y Nolan movie. But also compared to a typical “biopic” it has very intense pacing and cross cutting. And the last 45 minute firmly places it back into Nolan territory- it’s frustrating (and probably the point) how much time we spend with Oppy, without really learning much about him. What are his views? What does he care about? Is he in love with any of the women he spends time with? But perhaps being so singularly devoted to a cause can, at a certain point, strip you of yourself
