This was for you shnookums

I don't think they got it. So many things are wrong with this, an embarrassing amount

Although I would never describe this as bad, I would never call it great. This kind of story is very meaty, and high concept; which is a good thing. The backrooms need that kind of story. However, I'm not sure if the writer and director are properly cut out for it just yet. Having one writer for a movie like this makes it seem a bit too much like a ramble of ideas, which I'm not saying get rid of Will Sooduk, but what I am saying is give him someone to bounce off of, preferably someone with more experience. And as for the director, who else is better equipped to direct the backrooms movie than the guy who popularised and solidifying what the backrooms are? No one. But I just think the guy should've done more things before making **his **movie. He should've worked on other stuff that weren't entirely his. I'm sure that many things were cut from this that he wanted, and if I'm being honest, based on my assumptions they probably served the final product well. The two young guys at the helm of this movie were lucky they had a number of producers working behind them aswell as the company A24. But maybe, just maybe. They should've done something lesser in concept first.

Why was this actually damn near flawless?
