I feel like this film might be the best Shakespeare adaptation out there and may just be one of my favourite films. Every element in the movie may it be the plot, acting, cinematography or the direction this film is simply outstanding. Lady kaede in my opinion is one of the best written villans in all of cinema. Her need for vengeance isn't personal, but rather historical. She quietly plants the destruction of the entire ichimonji clan. Which ig is valid considering her family was destroyed by the great lord 🥀. And the best thing is the cinematography, oh god the color contrast and the wide shots of the mountains and green grass plains simply were a work of art. Also the war sequences were realistic and well made, must've taken a great effort. This is easily now one of my favourite movies and I'll def re-watch it.
