Light Sleeper

This movie is meant to be watched after midnight. One of the most immersive films I’ve ever seen. The characters and their relationships and the world of high end coke dealing in NYC feel so authentic. All the performances are amazing, especially John, Marianne, and Ann. And every single thing done and seen on screen also feels so intentional. Like in the gun buying scene, when the dude hits his head on the light and it swings around. It’s such a small and insignificant thing, but it’s those type of things that makes it so immersive. It’s just such a well done movie, it made me feel like I’ve known these people and this world my entire life.
