The Shining

Saw this yesterday in IMAX with my brother. I saw it once like 6 years ago but I didn’t get it or I just don’t remember much.  But bro, in IMAX, this movie is just different. The camera work, cinematography, sound design, and music is absolutely next level, especially when it’s amplified by IMAX. This is how you do an atmospheric movie. There’s so much tension and eeriness even in the simplest moments because of how well the world of the Overlook Hotel is developed. The hotel is like a character itself. After the opening shot of the car traveling through the mountains, I knew I wouldn’t be able to look away for even a second. Also, another takeaway I had: I rly need to finish Twin Peaks.
