it just goes to show you anne hathaway looks even more gorgeous in imax Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” is a tremendous piece of ART ( this is a big fuck you to all the people who have the audacity to call him anti-art ) of grand proportions. It really makes you sit back and take in the sheer magnitude and scale of each chapter unfolding on screen. And of course it is even more incredible in IMAX It was a great tale of the complexities of war, ego and spirituality. Every single segment of colossal, enormous, HELL even cycloptic-scale helps deliver this epic tale but the underlying story of Odysseus fighting his own personal battles makes you realise that the main story of this film is humanity and the price you pay for greatness. In terms of acting, Hathaway and Damon were my personal favourites but you definitely cannot by-pass Samantha Morton, Mia Goth, John Leguizamo, Pattinson, Zendaya. There were a lot of weak actors too Tom Holland for one, he was plain bad

movie physically made my head hurt

Ok i have a few problems with this film there were like major problems with the script, it always felt like it was lacking substance in important areas. the opening sequence was really boring and wasn’t captivating enough too kinda get you hooked. i felt that the emily blunt storyline - scenes idk…were the best. i really did not like the ending…it felt like they messed up everything they were working towards, i would loved too see more about the connection of the aliens w daniel and margot, why they chose them??, what were those weird devices??, so many questions left unanswered and i really hated that cop-out w whe waldex people. otherwise it was a really fun popcorn film with a great ensemble performance with blunt, hewson and connor.

i think jessica chastain gives one of the best performances i’ve ever seen in the last 20 years
