there was once a time that this was in my top four...it might have to make a return. i could've sworn i logged this movie going full in-depth on why it is a masterpiece simply for its dialogue on good vs evil and the complexities it gives each and every single character you could care about. it's also probably one of THE most quotable dreamworks movies, and has provided us with so many iconic memes and moments. i could go on and on about this movie, it definitely shaped my childhood and i think every child needs to watch this movie.

yeah so this was it!! ***obsessed*** with inde's performance in this. i think this film will definitely be sitting with me for a long time. something about this movie has created an ***obsession*** (yeah, ik, i'm sorry) amongst viewers, and i definitely understand why. curry barker does an excellent job at sustaining the tension throughout comedic moments so much that even if you know what's going to happen next, it still unexpectedly shocks you. the decisions we make and don't make will always have a price. in this case, there was more damage done to those around bear than himself, creating a victim out of nikki, who completely loses her autonomy because of this man's desires and desperation for her love. *you can wish for love but at what cost? * i could say so much more about this film, because i'm definitely still sitting with it!! like i said, one for the ages for sure!

honestly this is one of Tyler Perry's better movies!! and i'm not ashamed to say that I enjoyed it. kathy bates took over the whole show, and he made me hate sanaa lathan (very hard task, btw).

idk which part was better, the dionne warwick karoake, julia roberts comparing herself to jell-o, or george's monologue at the wedding. lets you know how much i enjoyed this, even if the FMC was a little off the hinge. let's be real, michael played in her face from the beginning
