From Beyond

"it ate him...bit off his head.......like..a ginger...bread man" First off, shout out to the goat Ryan for recommending me this, thought about watching it for a while but his seal if approval pushed me to watch it. It's very simmaler to re-animator while still being it's own thing, here's all the commonalities I noticted: -Jeffrey Combs and Barbara Compton -A pair of doctors performing a experiment that very much has yielded bad results but they keep pushing -Compton's charcther's dad becomes a vegetable -Stern woman doctor character -creepy older doctor character -and obviously it originated as a Lovecraft story. I was a big fan of pretty much every performance I saw. Jeffrey combs per usual implements his stage style acting but a lot of the less prominent characters have some pretty great line deliveries,I'm a particularly big fan of the neighbors line "You said you'd send another squad car if there was a disturbance,Well I'm disturbed!" (Also very surprised her dog didn't die) Jeffrey combs performance in general is fantastic, crawford tillinghast is going through it in this movie and Combs makes it clear, and boy does he look good doing it. Barbara Compton and Ken Foree add to a amazing trio. Compton per usual is so talented at playing every level of her character and looks absolutely stunning. I've never seen Ken Foree in anything before this to my knowledge but I was rooting for his character and was crushed at the death I knew was coming. Very much loved it the movie.
