Third times a charm, right? Honestly, this movie stopped being cinematic for me after the first watch. This doesn't seem like an adaptation of Homer's *Odyssey*. It's been heavily 'Nolan-ized' (a term I would like to coin btw). He excells at the big picture, but fails when it comes to the deeper meanings (which I find to be a bit ironic considering his more original films are known for their insane attention to detail). As a movie, it's amazing. As an adaptation, it's kinda crap. I think I'll stick to *O Brother, Where Art Thou? *for my *Odyssey *fix.

This gets 1 star for the casting and it's not because they bagged Karl Urban. He was disappointing and it kills me to admit it. This movie had an embarrassing amount of issues for a video game adaptation that has roughly 34 years worth of lore to pull from. Pathetic.

Nice to see Marvel try to crack their mold a bit. Less stupid humor, a little more darkness. Cool. Can we go a little darker next time? Thanks!
