i can’t explain why i watched this when as a child i couldn’t sleep in the same room as the book
this used to play at my primary school every parents evening and i’d just like to thank who decided to never change the film
okay but picture this... the movies the same except it’s 2D animation instead (oh and dragon gets a redesign)
the Dan Schneider and Quentin Tarantino collab we didn’t know we needed
hold up, why isn’t this a disco film? is this not supposed to be a disco flick? well it should’ve been<b>.</b>
this is exactly what <i>Friday Night Lights </i>could’ve been but never was
oh shit Shane Madej was right! spys do poison people with ceiling string
and the reason kirsten stewart’s didn’t sack off her girl for aubrey plaza is...
i can't get over the reason nicholas godejohn has a prior... NINE HOURS! IN A MCDONALDS i-
the first time i watched was in spanish (i don’t speak spanish) and upon rewatch i don’t think the language barrier was the issue i completely understand why people would love this and obviously it is a visually beautiful film but i was just simply bored.
i obviously knew about the chicken coop murders as well as the story this film depicts (i was really intrigued by ‘i’m your missing child’ cons at one point) HOWEVER it took me seeing this film to make the connection i have no clue how i missed this but i did
Instead of framing his film purely around a person's story into addiction or recovery, McQueen drops us into an addicts life at a crossroad. Brandon's (Michael Fassbender) sister arrives at his apartment and disrupts his lifestyle, both he and his sister Sissy (Carey Mulligan) seem to have been traumatised in their youth <i>"We're not bad people, we just come from a bad place"</i> however the way in which they cope differ. Sissy feels her experiences so deeply particularly those centred in romance or sex, something Brandon berates her for, whereas Brandon uses his vices to numb any chance of real feelings, he doesn't allow people to look below the surface but if they catch a glimpse he immediately cuts them loose. Sissy's presence makes him aware of these issues so while he may care for her, he is disgusted by her company.
i only watched this because i read the title and blindly hoped it would be related to charlie swan aka. <b>DAD OF THE YEAR!</b> but it’s not so i hate myself :)
<b>BREAKING NEWS:</b> milly bobbie brown reboots<i> ‘The Office’</i> with a historical twist!
its storytime! the first time i watched this was when i was maybe 9 or 10 on a ferry. so my grandad was really ill he i was younger but he had taken a turn so on NEW YEARS EVE my mum, brother and me all packed our bags and got on the next ferry to Ireland. the water was so choppy that the toilet queues were just people waiting to throw up but me being me i thought now would be a great time to buy a comically large bag of m&m's and chow down :) surprisingly choppy seas and boiling hot ferries don't mix with buckets of m&ms. so now i feel sick but everyone else is asleep and i don't wanna leave so i suck it up and watch the film there playing and ITS THIS. it was pretty good and for some reason i saw the DVD versioning supermarkets constantly for like 2 months and then never again. Yet i still had like flases and random memories of the scenes and spent so long describing them to google in detail so i could watch it again and finally after close to a decade IM BACK WATCHING IT p.s. i did throw up after eating all those m&m's... i think everyone on that boat threw up
<p>watching this in honour of the 12 couples that on similarly hot day about 40 years ago flew out to Hollywood and got married on the set of this movie before it was even released</p>
<p>now why would you go back to stop them going extinct… do you not learn from your mistakes? just let nature do its thing!! no need for this tomfoolery! (i would’ve risked my life to save my poor babies too) (i sobbed uncontrollably when they left the brachiosaurus behind.)</p>
i only refer to this movie as Avengers: Civil War on principle
i could’ve sworn i had watched this when i was young and found it frightening but it turns out i watched the short this used to be and honestly it should’ve stayed as a short
i don’t know how to rate this because honestly the main thing that kept me watching was familiarity of the strained mother-daughter relationship (that said i don’t find ladybird <i>that</i> relatable, THEY’RE NOT MUTUALLY EXCLUSIVE) but the other interesting stuff feels so unexplored so i’m confused on my feelings about this <i>slight confession: i actually tried watching this a couple months back but i made it to the argument in the car and started sobbing so uncontrollably that i couldn’t pay attention to the rest</i>
velma's red vinyl jumpsuit was a very pivotal moment for me
<i>“you try watching brad pitt in interview with a vampire and not feel a little conflicted” </i>
<b><i>"foolproof and incapable of error."<b></i> one of the most visually stunning films ever and the costumes of the ladies working in the airport lounge are to die for, i want one right now! pity that to me the story felt it just <i>happening</i> and in an excruciatingly slow manner may i add. maybe once i've got some insight into what it was trying to show me other than pretty shots i will watch it again and change my rating. anyways... happy birthday HAL!!!
as a fan of these, this one felt like such a diversion from the previous ones (in the worst way). <blockquote></blockquote><blockquote>• the animation looks so weird at different points like they’re all made out of low quality clay or something • then i thought there was something off about dracs voice so i looked it up and.. no adam sandler in this cast :( • having blobby turn into jelly so he’s basically not there BIG MISTAKE! • also this is all doesn’t being human suck (yes) but still no mortality dilemma for johnny ????? • but we still get a dose of the usual hotel transylvania fun and hijinks just with less charm</blockquote><blockquote></blockquote>
<p>natalie portman was studying psychology at Harvard while filming this while when i have two essays due the same day i can barely function… she’s a much better woman than me🙂↕️</p>
the real phantom menace was whoever thought it was funny to cast both natalie and kiera
in love with the choice to move through each of the sets as though it were a play rather than a film but joe you’ve gotta stop shooting horses… for my sanity. #the fan -> galloping *mwah*
