The Shining

Technically, this film is close to perfect. The camera angles and following shots, the suspenseful score and obviously Jack nicholsons incredible performance as a man descending into insanity. I think Kubrick is genuinely at a level of higher thinking than any other director when it comes to filmmaking. That being said I feel like I could’ve enjoyed it more. I found myself wondering how long was left a few times. I think my second watch will really tell how much I like it.
