Memento
This movie was a mind trip from start to finish, you felt like you were Lenny throughout the movie, missing bits and pieces of the story so it’s hard to grasp what’s going on.
The movie was very good to say the least, staple Nolan film. “My life’s is like a Christopher Nolan movie. I have no idea what’s going.” Half the movie you were confused and felt like you were missing something, but the end wraps it all together.
I loved the ending, wow. Truly speaks to Lenny’s character, Lenny (himself) doesn’t believes his life has a purpose anymore. His wife who he loved very much is gone, and his sole life’s mission is to avenge her. By the truth coming out does that meaning his life has disappear? Yea I think so, and in normal circumstances can people live with it? Yea I also think so. Lenny having the condition makes it all the more worse. Unfortunately for Lenny he can’t live with it, her death is the only thing keeping him going. The chase he has in trying to avenge her is connection between his memories that he forgets, he doesn’t want to let it go. It’s the only thing keeping him going and sane. The constant chase till his demise will be his tragedy. A dog chasing its own tail. Which makes this movie all the more better, does Lenny continue this game of cat and mouse? At some point does the truth come out again and does he make a different decision? Interesting to think about.
“What's the last thing that you do remember?”
“My wife..”
