Us and Them

Cest La Vie.  *“Happiness is not a story. Misfortune is.” * I loved everything about this movie, the quotes, the message, the color way, the cinematography, everything. There’s just so much to say and I don’t know how to say it. The one thing I do know is, we never stop loving anyone. Whether that be people we cared about at one point and parted ways or a relationship we once had. We all continue to live with a piece of them in our heart no matter how big or small. We chase this so called “Success” yet we truly don’t know what it is? When Lin and Xiao had nothing they were the happiest. Is that success? Lin no matter how successful he got, was he happy? Was that missing hole that Xiao left in his heart ever filled? Even though he gained everything he wanted,Iike Xiao said. “We have everything in the end. Just not each other.”  Was Lin truly successful?  I loved how the game meant something more. “Ian not meeting Kelly would make his life colorless” And it made Lin’s. Despite everything he didn’t have his Kelly.  Idk this movie was amazing and only time will help me appreciate it and gather my thoughts. 1000/10.  “pick the stars from the sky bring the pearls from the ocean”
