Vanilla Sky
Wow first and foremost this opened my eyes to tom cruise, he’s incredible. You can clearly tell he’s dedicated to his craft, to be able to articulately portray someone who has his face half deformed and still convey emotion through his eyes, mannerisms and also his words clearly is nothing short of greatness. When old heads said he was a goat, I should’ve listened.
Also this film is just beautiful in regards to relationships, in particular love. Love isn’t quantifiable, to elaborate it doesn’t matter whether you’ve known someone for 1 day or 1 year. The connection you have with them is what’s important, David spent how long with Julianna? Yet a night with Sofia had him yearning for her. To the brink of insanity. Love is not only beautiful but also terrifying, to see the grasp and firm grip it had on him was eye opening.
I also loved how She also felt the same way, that it wasn’t just a one sided “click” but they both felt that spark and both were deeply affected by eachother. Didn’t matter that nothing crazy happened between them. Their souls connected, and that’s beautiful to say the least.
I absolutely loved this movie, I have so much to say and can go on and on, I’ll def revisit this review and add to it.
Tom Cruise I’ve fastened my seatbelt brochacho, we on this ride together.
P.N: So many perfect quotes that idk which one to choose, wow.
“You can do whatever you want with your life, but one day you'll know what love truly is. It's the sour and the sweet. And I know sour, which allows me to appreciate the sweet.
