Miller's Crossing

I thank Ben Affleck forrecommending this film! Miller's crossing packs up every little detail to be important for explaining the behaviours of characters, setting of the world/theme; The silence adds up , the unfocused characters (quite literally through the lens) add up. Performances of actors are very iconic and Danny Boy scene is a masterpiece! All of them characters are so cool in their own unique ways! It is funny ,dramatic and suspenseful all at the same time. The thing about man and hat is what i don't get but there is a quote from a youtube video that sums it up very well "Miller's crossing is a handsome movie about men in hats and the ugly world they created for themselves" where hats are described as masculinity.
