Although good movie, it could’ve done better with more development and attention on Frank the person instead of focusing on Frank the boyfriend. He had a lot of habits and traits that would’ve made the emotions hit harder imo.

I thought the movie was great for what it was. There wasn’t a moment that I didn’t enjoy, from the goofy one liners and the interactions between Grace and Rocky it was a very easy watch.  The sci fi was easy to digest and understand which made the viewing experience better to just watch the movie without trying to decipher why everything is happening. Pretty cut and dry, something is eating the sun, we need something to stop it lol.  Although Ryan for sure acted his socks off, I wish I had more of a reason to care about the character. Although I understand him not having much personal connection on earth was meant to make it easier for us, the audience to digest that he won’t go home at the end of the movie, I just wish there was some kind of a tease that he was losing something at home. Rocky and his story clearly had a lot of weight to it also and became the character we pulled for to go home more which in the end work for me
