Mitsuo’s wife is like the og Skyler White except instead of being a reasonable character written to seem insufferable she just sucks Fantastic movie, I always find myself putting off watching older b&w films and this is just an example of how unreasonable that is. It’s long and slow paced but doesn’t really feel that way, and they completely flip the narrative structure about halfway through and it doesn’t detract or distract from it at all. The commentary is a little in your face but it’s forgivable. Next stop Harakiri 🏌️ * also, this is the first time since getting Patron and completely overhauling all of my posters that I’ve kept the original for a review. They really nailed it with this one
