Hellbender

this had some pretty cool visuals & a fine premise, i guess, but it did absolutely nothing for me. i was bored for most of the runtime, and when i wasn't, i was just cringing at the acting performances. there just wasn't anything compelling about it at all, in my opinion. i probably would have quit partway through if i wasn't trying to watch all the movies shudder posts on instagram for their halloween countdown. (also, something about this felt familiar while i was watching, so i just checked & realized that i watched like half of where the devil roams, a movie made by the same family, earlier this year before i got bored & gave up... sounds right to me!)
