the 2017 & 2019 it films are better in almost every conceivable way, but there's definitely still redeeming qualities to this adaptation. tim curry's pennywise creeps me out way more than bill skarsgård's, and honestly, i think the adult loser's club dynamic works so much better here. other than that, this miniseries is a bit of a mess... not all the child actors are great, and the editing is very questionable, even for 1990. also, henry bowers's character could be developed SO much better, and the newer adaptation proves it. at least we have reddie (and some great mike & bill content)!
