Boyhood
“We’re all just winging it, man.”
There’s so much meaning behind that line, you never know what life is gonna hand you. Thinking this is how life is gonna end up but completely end up the other direction. Doesn’t matter who you are a divorced parent or a person growing up with this kid and relating to him in every way possible, that’s how I felt during the whole movie. “I just feel like there are so many things that I could be doing and probably want to be doing that I’m just not.” That line stuck with me on a personal level, coming out of high school I was going through some personal shit horrible stuff. Healing from depression this movie is a breath of fresh air, hitting me at a perfect time in my life where I really need to be inspired. I was stuck in this endless loop of thinking and processing things, thinking about what I wanted in life. These characters in the movie show you different paths in life and it’s alright we’re all just living life winging it man. I know some people have opinions but if you say you dislike the film you’re kinda saying you dislike life. You have to remember the whole point of this plotless film is life itself and it’s series of milestones, the coming of age and passage of time. If you think you’re the only one out there going through stuff or you’re lost I’d giving this movie a go, definitely worth the watch. It had me sitting in my chair all alone to my thoughts just thinking about life and how not to take it for granted. Boyhood is an ordinary film it doesn’t try to be anything more than that, just simply taking you through life that’s what makes it so amazing.
