Kill Bill: Vol. 1

i haven’t watched vol 2 yet so cannot give full review YET  however  i really enjoyed it what else am i meant to say  we all know it is good  we all know tarantino is one of the best directors ever  yes it’s made by tarantino and yes i like it  the protagonist is very menacing in a good way she is very badass  the action is beautifully choreographed and shot  the aesthetics are amazing  the only things that i don’t like are  1) there’s always a fucking foot on my screen which like what can i expect it’s a tarantino film but i find it icky 2) getting a slight hint of asian fetishisation but it was a different time and i am not asian so i dont really have the right to say too much about that. it does strike me as a bit weird though 3) i have a preference for films with a very strong emotional core and this is not really that (although there are some really emotional moments). even though its not my usual taste i did still like it, but i never got that soul crushing feeling i like in a film sometimes  but overall yes its a very good film and i liked it a lot
