i think the film deliberately avoids following a traditional narrative structure and instead embraces a more chaotic approach, balancing humorous moments with deeper, more emotional ones. however, i don’t feel that it has a very clear central message. i understand that it may have been intended as a somewhat feminist film, but at the same time, it often feels like it undermines the very women it tries to portray. ani’s actions frequently seemed exaggerated to me, and i couldn’t help but feel that her character was written by a man. she lacks a certain feminine authenticity that would have made her feel more believable. while i understand that she’s intentionally written to be bold and somewhat vulgar, i think the film pushes that aspect of her personality too far, making some of her actions feel excessive and, at times, unjustified. i also found the relationship between ani and igor somewhat unrealistic. that said, i really appreciated the final scene. it was genuinely moving, and i liked that it leaves the audience free to interpret its meaning instead of providing a definitive conclusion.
