all jokes aside this is genuinely a really good coming of age comedy, the jokes are delivered really well and the acting isn’t terrible, greg heffley is a completely egotistical, capitalist sociopath that lacks all morals and has no sense of humanity though.

**Film 3/7 of Manchester film festival ** some absolutely fantastic performances in here, the plot was a bit lost on me closer to the end but not enough to make this a bad film in any sense. i didn’t really like the fake epilogue at the end, it definitely could’ve been cut out.

**Film 4/7 of Manchester film festival** this felt like a breath of fresh air, josh o’connor is great, proper heart warmer.

**Film 2/7 of Manchester film festival ** i thought this started off pretty good and sydney taylor delivered a surprisingly good performance, there were also some decent jumpscares but this just felt like a netflix original with way too much unnecessary humour and a terrible ending
