Sound design immaculate. Jóhann Jóhansson’s score brilliant, adding to the mysterious nature of the heptapods. ‘On the Nature of Daylight’ is heartbreaking as always, wholeheartedly believe it to be the best piece of music ever created. The cinematography is jaw dropping, utterly gorgeous.
Amy Adams is outrageously good in this. It is her film. I find it absolutely staggering that someone watched this and didn’t think this was Oscar nom worthy. Honestly, one of the most subtly brilliant acting performances of all time.
Peak. Chef’s Kiss. Impeccable. Flawless. Perfect. All of those words are Arrival.
