Blade Runner
The Final Cut - Part of a double bill in the cinema, mentally drained from Solaris but the booming Vangelis had me rejuvenated beyond belief. The futuristic synth contrasted with the fluctuating neon/bleak dystopian world.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? is my favourite book ever. The film fails to dissect the philosophical challenges present in the novel and chooses instead to dissect character. Roy Batty and Rachael are two of the most interesting on-screen examples.
And of course any film is helped by a marvellous monologue ending with “All those moments will be lost in time… like tears in rain.”
