A Complete Unknown
literally cried the whole time because I love Bob Dylan so much. There’s life before and after Bob Dylan movie.
BOB DYLAN 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
But in all honesty…Joan deserved better but we already knew that.
Edit: okay, I did love this movie but I think the fault with biopics is that their rewatch-ability is low. I’ve been a huge Bob Dylan fan for yearrssss and I need that Timmy cookie but idk when I’ll watch this movie again. I did legit cry the whole time because it brought to life an era of music and discography that means so so much to me but it falls short in many ways.
So, Dylan was/is like a confusing/negative guy but he DID have a sort of whimsy at this time in his life. Where did his story teller and fringe type personality go?
This is the issue I have with Bohemian Rhapsody as well. Why was Freddie Mercury stripped of all his fun, energetic and performer personality?? Why did his wife (his very good friend) hate him in the movie? Because it’s a serious biopic that needs conflict and a brooding male lead? I think the biggest issue with biopic movies is that there might have been love for them in their inception but at their release, there is a hollowness that is hard to ignore. They are focused so much on being a dramatic picture of a person (even if the events aren’t accurate?) that the only “fan service” and energy they provide is “omg I know that song” and “omg that guy”. So I guess in conclusion, NO MORE BIOPICS! Enough. This was the last one! Thanks! Goodnight! (Also I’m still mad about Joan Baez. Love you queen.)
