Laju

After many years of attempts, I finally watched this film to the end😭 I quite enjoyed the plot sequencing and experiencing the events in reverse but still moving forward, kind of mimicking Leonard’s memory shifts so it felt like I also had his short term memory loss while watching and I’m putting the pieces together as the plot moves forward. The twist is what I predicted around the midpoint with regard Sammy Jankins and I’ve seen better twists before, but it was still done masterfully. While I can tell this is an early Nolan film, the cinematography is great with the film’s colour palette and grading being matching Leonard’s beige suit and blue shirt. Bro watching a Nolan film without subtitles is like trying to sweep up water from the shores of a beach, I mean maybe I’m going deaf but I was genuinely struggling to hear some of the dialogue at certain points. Not a 5 star movie for me but an overall really good watch

I kind of have an itch for dark dystopian fiction that this movie softly scratches. I need MORE
