i always knew i was the wokest of them all when i was out here in high school writing full essays about anthropomorphic animals and systemic oppression. how are they still getting away with making a “kids movie” that so cleanly tackles abuse of power, gentrification, and the way marginalized communities get conveniently blamed and framed to maintain the status quo??? this is layered without losing its heart and still fun enough that you forget you’re basically watching social commentary in disguise!! loved pointing all the other movie references btw. and nick wilde... i fear i have never moved on. if anything this movie made it worse. i have been in love with that fox since day one. i am SICK.
