Arrival
I cried when I watched this. Then cried after rewatched it. Then cried after rerewatched it and the circle keeps on repeat. This is so beautifully written. With those beautiful cinematography that is both felt like a warm hug and a sorrow
This is my lifetime favorite. I don't know why people found it "boring" or "basic", they expect the bad aliens coming to the earth and asked for a war. I've once heard from one person that really said "Alien should not be good, they are evil and it's so weird that they all so lovely" LIKE???? this is the MOST realistic open contact that captured in a film so far for me. Like why aliens always have to be bad and evil in their minds??
And this is shows how important language is. Like the theory "language change how our minds sees the world" and right when dr.adams really understand their language, she could see her future life, her future daughter, and future husband which is ian my love.
I found it really beautiful how she chose to embrace every moments of it despite knowing how the ending, how sorrowful it'll be to lose her only daughter and her husband as well. But I would do that as well if I was her honestly. Because I'd rather to feel trully happy, loving, and loved for a couple times than never felt those at all.
The ending really brought me to tears, I literally had my eyes puffed because of this. "I forgot how good it felt to be held by you" WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LINE!
LOVE THIS MOVIE WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL ♡
