Arrival
I had to watch this film for my English class, so I knew I was in for something at least watchable. But this film changed my perspective of how I view time and people of different ethnicities. Does knowing your future ruin the experience overall if there’s no surprise, or does knowing the bad nullify the inevitable pain? The last part of that is completely true. And know the fact that people have different worldviews is completely normal, that takes in languages and culture, and embracing and learning different cultures allows more diversity, but more inclusions of people in a society. And in typical alien movies, the aliens are just another villain that kills humans, but this is the first time I’ve seen non-hostile aliens in a film. Amazing cinematography, and an outstanding soundtrack. This film is turning 10 in 2026 and its message still stands even today. Definitely recommend.
