- silly fun movie - cool stunt scenes - characters were a bit boring and silly - found ending to be underwhelming

- good portrayal of what it was like to be living as a jew in hiding at that time (i dont know anything about history or the book) - movie does a good job of showing the brutality and the fear of living during the war - but i don't get why everyone agreed to help him, wasn't it risky to help a jew in hiding? feel like they don't show why - also never feels like szpilman is afraid to die, he keeps staring at the gunfights, never seems to panic or seem scared

- super engaging movie, was hooked the entire time - such a simple concept; the entire movie takes place in the same room yet its still so interesting - the story was told very well, you could picture everything without needing to see it - really liked the small details e.g. they kept continuity with the fan not working, the man missing his son, the cough lollies - so many long takes, very impressive acting - characters were all very unique and interesting
