wow wow wow this movie was so good! i was the perfect balance of cuteness and horror. watching this movie as a bi Catholic was definitely an interesting experience bc knowing that there are people in my life and family that would make the same choices the parents made in this movie is so sad and disheartening! that being said the fact that naim and ryan were able to over come this trauma and hate and they were at peace with their love for one another by the end regardless of the hate and homophobia that will continue to follow was so beautiful! i mean ryan literally said “i don’t want it to like like some other dickhead, i want it to look like you” talking about the entity actively trying to kill him ugh this movie was so good!! the only thing that kept this movie from being perfect in my eyes is the pacing. if this movie had an extra 30 minutes to an hour to space out and deepen the story it would be perfect. overall this movie is so beautiful and needs to be told, especially at a time where white christian nationalism is on a rise!  p.s. who tf names their kid naim
