yk i never really thought i was an alien movie type of person but after watching this and bugonia I’m starting to think I might be. this movie was so amazing and so well done! the score, the acting, the directing, the editing, just all of it was so so good! It made me so upset how after what Jupe went through as a kid he still thought he could tame an alien that he knew nothing about. Like if you couldn’t even handle a monkey what makes you think you can handle an extra terrestrial, like ofc you’re gonna die! hello! I did really like the commentary on how society can’t look away from tragedy and terrible things. The is shown especially well through Jupe but also the videographer who was always chasing that impossible shot! He couldn’t look away and he just kept on pushing until it was too late. In the end he got the shot but at what cost! I wish i could go back to 2022 and see this for the first time in theatres because that would’ve been so insane but regardless i’m so glad I watched it!
