Thief

I wouldn’t let the title fool you, it’s a lot more than that and it was a masterpiece. This film doesn’t glorify that life, more of a grit and grind game with high odds and horrible consequences. A beautiful portrayal of a man being stuck between two worlds while exploring the psychological toll it takes upon one’s self. Also an all time great performance from James Caan.  The score of this film is literally pulsating, mixed with the attention to detail, it gives you that intense realism atmosphere. Neo-noir masterclass, Micheal Mann has laid the foundation and has given out the blueprint plenty of times but still no one comes close.
