Anora
Anora is unfiltered, possesses some of the deepest emotional depth I've ever seen in a film thanks to the brilliant and oscar-deserving acting of Mikey Madison, and has one of the best endings I've seen to a film. There is a lot to be appreciated about Anora, not just its thrilling and dramatic story, but also the empathy we feel for Anora. Her relationship with Igor was truly the highlight of this film and it made her realize her worth; the ending made her realize that she is worth respect and dignity, and that she isn't just an object worth an hour. Anora is bright and colorful, dotted with subtle moments of humor in between the harsh emotions. Anora was the best film released in 2024.
