Cure
A haunting, philosophical, and very well made study of the morality of human nature. Masato Hagiwara was mortifying in this role and the dynamic he shared with Kōji Yakusho, his intellectual foe in the film, was equally as intense. Additionally, the film’s riveting use of hypnotism through inquisitive dialogue proposes ideas about the hatred we all carry and what it takes for us to act upon them. Cure is overall an exceptional serial killer study (better than MoM in my opinion) that delivers all around. 90/100
