Shutter Island

Super enjoyable movie. I think the twist is pretty obvious from the first 20 minutes though. So obvious that I was surprised when it happened because it was a bit too obvious. But even then, it was executed very well. Great visuals, score, emotion and performance. And a lot of interesting themes to think about too. Probably the most I’ve been invested in one of Scorsese’s movies.  And even with the predictable twist, I really enjoyed the ending. That last line really hit.
