Squid Game

finished all 3 seasons of squid game last week and i’m kinda still not over it. not wrecked exactly, but definitely not okay either lmao. season 1 was iconic. no notes. season 2 was slower but still interesting. def political. different kind of tension. and season 3… idk. it felt colder. more drained. like everyone already knew hope wasn’t real anymore. not in this game. and the only time i actually cried? 💔 hyunju. player 120. she found a way out. literally. and instead of saving herself, she turned back to help the others. and someone killed her. no build-up. no big moment. just over. that was the one that got me. she was strong, kind, and real in a way that didn’t feel performative. she just wanted to live. to finally live. and they took that from her. i’m still mad about it. AHHH 🔪🔪🔪🔪 also that line—“we are not horses.” yeah. that one kinda stayed with me. because it’s true. we’re not. but sometimes this world really makes us forget that. 9/10 overall. i’m gonna miss this show. but i don’t think it ever really leaves you. hyunju my bbg 😔🫶
