Absolutely beautiful cinematography and framing, fantastic story writing and great acting. Although it is not as action packed as it’s sequel, the plot is still elite and fantastic at providing a backstory for the rest of the trilogy.

Wow. This carried astonishing emotional depth. Very powerful visual imagery. Beautifully animated. A painfully real depiction of war, that is both horrifying and beautiful. I was so attached emotionally to the main characters, which is very hard to accomplish in many films, making the ending so much more moving. 9.3/10

Emotionally sincere, funny, and amazing visual storytelling.
