Oldboy
the first movie I have ever given a 5 star rating.
It is not perfect but it hit emotional notes that are rarely hit in movies. I often give high rating to movies that make me feel something. I felt pain, revolt, despair. This is one of the most poetic and artistic movies I have seen. It turns violence and depravity into something beautiful. This movie succeeds in being both beautiful and terrifying.
