Onibaba

There's no denial for this one particular film. To what it may seem like a historic folklore-like drama, it transforms into an engaging tale of lust, jealousy, and madness. Onibaba is a tremendous take on the human nature; it shows not every evil comes from beyond the comprehension of man. It's a film that dares itself to break the limit. I can't believe this film turned my expectations to a series of ashes and dust, well not purely, I could almost figured it out. That ending tho, left me speechless. This is by far 2nd best to films like my Woman in the Dunes. Hauntingly atmospheric and primitively wild!
