Couch
THIS is what I want from a short. Sandler’s facial awareness is priceless, and the lack of over-explanation makes the story feel effortless—even though it clearly took a ton of thought. Letting the audience understand exactly what’s happening without being spoon-fed is an art, and PTA understands that at a soul level.
It’s beautiful, brief, and somehow priceless—especially as a hardcore Adam Sandler fan. It can make you laugh, cry, and feel seen, all while he’s just… buying a couch. And if that isn’t magic, I don’t know what is.
The lack of color only strengthens it, forcing you to focus on the journey head-on with no distractions. A solid win in filmmaking.
