Heck
the story was deeply unnerving, and with every time skip i felt more and more horrified by what was happening, until the final moments when everything became clear. watching the boy slowly behave worse and worse in a desperate attempt to get his mother to scold him was genuinely disturbing, from obsessively cleaning his room to drawing on the carpet and telling her he hated her. the film felt chaotic at times, but that disorder perfectly captured the sense of dread and made it feel as though the story was being shown directly through the boy’s perspective
