Gladiator
*“Death smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back.” - *Maximus Decimus Meridius.
Watching Gladiator made me realize why cinema is loved, cherished, and praised.
Gladiator is one of the movies where you cannot ever miss it if you love watching movies, drama, comedy, supernatural, etc. Gladiator is a MUST watch for anyone!
Russell Crowe’s best acting comes from here, I’d argue that this is also Joaquin Phoenix’s best performance (yes better than Joker) is here.
Gladiator is one of the greatest revenge stories oat, from Maximus going from a Roman General and commander of armies from the North, to a slave after his son and wife were murdered, rising from Gladiatorial ranks to being recognized as the strongest of Rome after killing Commodus.
Honor, justice, and mercy, Maximus was a true warrior and gentleman, legion and loyal servant to Marcus Aurelius, father of a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife, he had his vengeance in this life and the next!
Splendid work you’ve made, Sir Ridley Scott! ❤️
